Cover Art

A small collection of vinyl cover art commissions I've done over the years. Only two, vastly different designs so far, but hopefully more to come.

Sussy Baka Baby Boy

This was a fun and very funky commission for a close friend. I went through concept stages with the themes of psychedelia and strong emotions, which mirror the playlist compiled for the custom vinyl. Weaving in some personal elements, such as the recipient's necklace and their favourite colours, I played around with textures and patterns to help capture the soundtrack incased.

Lover's Touch

This was a more personal project, close to my heart. I gifted my partner a custom record for his birthday, selecting meaningful songs for us to be made into a vinyl. We would often send afternoons painting with watercolours, which I chose as the main media for the cover. Taking it into Photoshop, I arranged the watercolour flowers to frame two linked, line-drawn hands to show our connection. These flowers were also used on the record labels, distinguishing sides A and B. I also made a poster version for myself.

I would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the Gammeraygal People of the Eora Nation whose Country I live and work on. I acknowledge their connection to the waterways and lands, and their connection to each other and their neighbours. I pay my respects to the Elders past and emerging, whose knowledge and spirit are ever-lasting. Sovereignty was never ceded – it always has been and always will be Indigenous Land.
